I have often been in the same situation as the person named M. Creech. The only difference is that every time I suggest providing samples of the mucus to my doctor he tells me that the mucus that drains to the back of my throat or comes out of my nose is different than what is in the sinuses. Therefore, it is not worth being tested. Unfortunately, he must be correct, because I have had the green mucus tested several times in the past and it showed "normal" bacteria. It's so hard to believe it is normal, when it is such a bright yellow-greenish color! If I really want to have the sinus mucus tested, I could have a more invasive procedure done, but I have not yet chosen to do that. It was never mentioned by M. Creech what treatment they were given. It may be helpful to know that. Thanks. ~ Rose S. » Sponsor: PariPharma's eFlow Have an experience you would like to share? Send your sinusitis, allergy, or asthma experience to asa@newsdial.com.
