CPAP Machine and Humidifier Facilitated Easier Breathing

I have had chronic frontal sinusitis for most of my life and I'm 60 yrs old. For the past 6 years I have been on a diet that is devoid of sugar, flour, and dairy, and I exercise 3 times a week. I've been on anti-fungal medicines, antibiotics, and many, many prednisone tapers.

Three months ago I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was given a CPAP machine and humidifier. Since I have become a mouth breather, it was a difficult task to adhere to the CPAP machine, but I was determined to do it.

I can't tell you how much this has improved my life -- I wake up in the morning and my nose isn't stuffy and closed. It seems to blow out anything that starts to accumulate in my nose. I sleep much better and it is such a treat to get up and be able to breathe. My hope is that it continues throughout the winter! Maybe these machines have the potential for dual problems!
