Tips About Native Honey and Other Treatment Options

I am new to this. Thought I would share my experiences. I have been combating sinusitis since my teens. (too many years to mention). Had the Deviated Septum procedure done when I was approx 13 yrs old - a total waste.

Native honey, from your area or state works. It is a natural anti-allergen. Try to find it from a local farm or supermarket. I take 1 to 2 tablespoons daily beginning in the spring thru the summer. (much better than sugar with tea and for baking)

Also found a very good product from HSI (Health Sciences Institute) newsletter called Guaifenesin, available OTC as Mucinex, it can also be prescribed by your Allergy doctor. (600mg. A decongestant.) It clears sinus cavities that are in the skull plus eyebrow areas. It relieves pressure and aches in the top skull, a blessed relief. It is also prescribed for Fibromyalgia which can be the cause.

Also from HSI, when you get allergy tests, the doctor should test the mucus for bacteria and fungus, not just treat the linings of the sinuses.

I have found anti-histamines do not work...you need to decongest instead and get it all out before it can get to the lungs. Deep breathing into the lower lobes will bring it up.

I also use Echinacea, the standardized extract of the Angustifolia root to clear sinus and is a power herb with Vitamin C and chelated Zinc. Plus, NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) for sinus and much more.

Also use raw garlic and basil daily, excellent anti-fungal-bacteria and anti-viral. Found coffee is an antioxidant and a good digestive aid for the stomach for me.

All this knowledge is a blessing to me from Our Heavenly Father.
