I stopped taking antibiotics, reduced air travel and stress due to job change, and made some changes in my regimen. First, I began taking astragalus to help my immune system and nettle to reduce allergies. I also added about a teaspoon of Xylitol to my morning sinus douche. I’ve read that Xylitol kills or disables the bacteria that cause sinus infections (a product called Xlear is a nasal spray that contains Xylitol). I also am taking betasitosterol (contains plant sterols). Finally, I obtained a nasal spray (prescription) from my doctor that keeps one’s nose from running so that I don’t have all that mucous in my sinuses to get infected. The bottom line is that I’ve been off antibiotics for two years with only one or two occurrences of infection after a severe cold. There are lots of things one can do without resorting
to damaging antibiotics. » Sponsor: PariPharma's eFlow
