Sinus Surgery Ineffective

I have suffered with chronic sinusitis for years and I had a severely deviated septum. I had sinus surgery in November 2004 to correct the septum and to open some sinus passages that were blocked by scar tissue (from years of sinus infections). I'm not sure it was worth it. I still get sinus infections and have congestion to some extent nearly all of the time, along with chronic sinus headaches.

My physician (head and neck surgery specialist) says the surgery helped open my breathing passages and was successful. I was hopeful that surgery would cure me, but it didn't. I take Allegra D daily, along with Nasocort. Some days I also take Sinutabs for congestion and Advil for headaches. Has anyone had a very successful sinus surgery that cured chronic sinusitis?
