How
to Reset Your Video iPod
Question: My
video iPod has frozen and I can't get it to do anything. How do I
reset my video iPod?
Answer: All
video iPods have a reset feature so that you can get it to work
again when your video iPod freezes. Follow these directions to
reset your iPod:
Step
One: At the top of your video iPod is a little switch. To the
right of the switch it says "hold". The switch should currently
be in the far left position. Move the hold switch to the right
then move it back to the left again.
Step
Two: At the same time, press and hold the center circle button
on your video iPod and the Menu button. Keep holding it for about
10 seconds.
Your
screen should go black, then in a few seconds Apple's logo will
appear. A few seconds after that, your main menu will appear
and your iPod reset will be complete!
This
method also works on the iPod Nano and the iPod
mini. It also works on the general iPod with a click wheel.
If you have another iPod, and the above
didn't work, then try the following:
Step
One: At the top of your iPod is a little switch.
To the right of the switch it says "hold".
The switch should currently be in the far left position.
Move the hold switch to the right then move it back
to the left again.
Step
Two: At the same time, press and hold the center
circle button on your iPod and the Play/Pause button.
Keep holding it for about 10 seconds.
You
should now be all set to once again enjoy your iPod!
